Ivan Breshkov
Mr. Breshkov has more than 35 years of experience in transport technologies, economics and management in Bulgaria and abroad. He is Associated Professor in "Information Technologies and Communications" Department of the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), Sofia / Bulgaria. In parallel, he is also lecturer in Sofia University's Economic Faculty and New Bulgarian University's Master's Programme.
Mr. Breshkov's research and development work focuses on elaboration and management of projects in various sectors, such as transport, energy, telecommunications, water supply and sewage systems, waste collection and treatment, etc. He has been taking part in a number of projects under various programmes – TEMPUS, ISPA, PHARE, EU Structural Funds, etc. A great deal of projects was performed following Public Tenders, but the majority was for private investors. Mr. Breshkov has more than 100 publications in Bulgaria and abroad.
Before his academic career, Mr. Breshkov has worked in "Bulgarian River Shipping" Plc, Rousse, where he was Fleet engineer, Head of Passenger Fleet and Head of Commercial Department.
Mr. Breshkov holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics and an engineering M.Sc. degree in Waterborne Transport. He is also Certified Management Consultant (C.M.C.) from the Institute for Management Consultancy, London, UK, and member of Bulgarian Association of Management Consultant's Organisations (BAMCO). Mr. Breshkov has also valuation licenses in business, environment, technology design, etc. He is member of a few transport and logistics associations.
